About Us

It all began with a dream of creating a home where lifestyle reflects nature. In their free time owners Bill & Shirley Brown can be found biking, hunting, skiing, gardening or any other activity that requires being out-of-doors. With this passion in mind an idea was born. In 1999 with the help of friends and family a custom constructed store was built, and in memory of Bill's father, named Papa Bear's Northwoods Store. Located in Wisconsin on US Hwy 12 between Baraboo, home of the Cowpie, and the popular Wisconsin Dells, Water Park Capitol of the World.

So much that we added on to the store in 2003 and built a couple of warehouses to hold it all! We also broadened the horizons by adding candles, gifts and collectibles.
